Synopsis: The Baca Basic Leadership Training Course provides participants an intellectual framework and direct experience to understand and put into practice proven, effective leadership techniques. The program is presented within the context of practical leadership of goal-oriented teams. Discussions on leadership and team-building theory are supplemented by practical exercises in which the student immediately puts into practice proven, down-to-earth techniques to develop the Participant’s personal leadership competencies.
Major Course Outcomes: Course participants will depart the course with the following competencies:
- Be able to recognize and put into practice effective leadership techniques
- Be able to develop one’s own subordinates to be effective leaders
- Be able to develop, lead and participate effectively in goal-oriented teams
Uniqueness: This training program is unique from the dozens of others available in that it:
- Is based on principles of leadership developed and honed by the American military over 400 years and proven effective in a variety of civilian venues,
- Focuses on developing leadership skills while building effective teams and developing self-confidence in changing environments,
- Uses an instructional methodology based on extensive instructor/participant interaction that uses in-class exercises to immediately reinforce learning, and
- Incorporates transportable Challenge Course activities to facilitate teambuilding within the context of leader development.
